Hello, I just want to use one earphone and don't want to be tired of switching devices all the time depending on the type of music. I listen to 80% classical and 20% jazz and pop. I I think I like mm500 very much, and I think the instrument part is quite good, and the vocals are in the front, so the female voice sounds good. Do you recommend other headphones at this level? I think the Sound Stage of the mm500 is ok. For classical music, the instrument is not too modified and artificial, the low-frequency dive is enough for jazz. I'm still looking for a sound I like, maybe you can give me some advice or other information.

I have been using Genome the same way. Plugging my distortions and preamps into the computer and using Genome power amp and cab. I like it a lot. I also use the Genome NAM module and got some captures from tone hunt the guys posted of just power amp sections of various amps. That sounds great too.

Hi sir, do you think the audeze mm 500 or LCD 5 bring something to the table that your Kii three cannot ? I am planning to open a mastering studio around the Kii three, and was wondering if I needed to get one of these headphones for quality control like clicks and pops and that kind of stuff since people seem to agree that headphones brings out more inner detail than speakers. 4x 6.5" drivers are about the same surface than a 13" driver. People seem to not be aware of that. That's what explains the 20hz with ease at reasonable volume.

I have a pair of RND 542’s and I love what they do on my mixbus. I’m considering selling them for the Overstayer MAS 2 because I don’t use any other 500 series modules besides the 542’s. I would like to ditch the 500 setup completely if possible but I’m unsure how the MAS compares? Can it sound similar to the 542’s? I’m not looking for crazy distortion, just nice tape saturation that adds some girth to mixes in a musical way and has the soft clipping to boost perceived level of the tracks

What a comprehensive review; well done, Ken! Like Scott, this isn't my genre, but I am impressed by both your playing and the amazing sound quality.

I have been in the Digital recording business since it’s onset, and even before that for a few years. These products that can keep coming out demonstrating just have it all. It’s pretty difficult to find something he demonstrates that doesn’t sound great. I am not into this kind of music myself, but I can appreciate its computer power and it’s tonal power. Everything sounds like it was done in an analog environment with the exception of the distortion, which definitely sounds like digital distortion, which is basically what someone would be looking for when they’re playing this type of music, so that’s a good thing! keep them coming! Good stuff

17:38 I still have a Torpedo VB101 (predecessor to the Torpedo Studio), that i barely use, but i think i'll keep it as an advanced loadbox/DI to track real amps / real pedals so that i don't need any ITB plugins (like Genome or WOS, that i can use on other tracks for reamping, etc) for that

Just stumbled across the video. First thing i hear is that in the first example the hardware is louder than the plugin so hard to tell but will watch the rest of the video now. Thanks for taking the time. On the synths i find the hardware more narrow tbh regarding imaging. Its thicker and softer in the high end but somehow "adds depth but takes away width“ in a way. Dunno if what i write makes sense. Anyhow, I love your conclusion and you seem to be an honest person. So thank you a lot for the effort and presentation

Neumann equipment is always high quality, and these are designed to be used when monitor speakers are unavailable. They're not cheap but have many qualities that you may find useful. Give them a test try!

At Deadfall brewing we record artists live and headphones are the make or break for how well we grabbed the mix live. Would be interesting to try these.

I’ve used this scheme in my Artisan Mobile remote truck for over 20 years both for AES and analog. With the right CAT, the higher twist pitch gives a lower susceptibility to induction noise than even the best shielded microphone cable. I was kinda tickled to see Dave Rat and others adopt this as well.

Aes72 is the best thing ever. I think neutrik will help popularize the 4E wiring then the next version wont need those silly polarity flippers

First decent video of this pedal. I have scorched the Earth looking for a Real Rectifier in a box tone after owning a Triple with Matching for 4/12. It was over 30 Years ago, and the Orange Channel Boosted was My Heaven. The clean channel sucked, I wasn’t happy with the 3rd Red Channel either, but that 2nd Orange Channel made it the greatest amplifier I have ever had. A close second would Be Orange Thunderverb. I’m looking at this but the Westminster 2716 is catching My attention Too. Mosky TW, Wampler Triple Wreck, Ibanez Smash Box, there has been so many let downs I won’t continue to list. I’m all pedal platform Basement Rocker these Days, so it has to Be perfect to buy it. I even hated the AMT R1 and R2. Maybe the R3 lol. Any other recommendations? Your demo was Excellent and honest!
